The router stores multiple profiles between which you can switch.
Double Security (Hybrid Mode)
The RUT241 eSIM still retains a slot for a normal SIM card. This is brilliant for redundancy: Use, for example, a cheap local prepaid card in the slot and keep a worldwide eSIM profile ready as a backup. If one network fails, the router switches over automatically.
Pro Features for Industry & IoT
Of course, the eSIM variant also masters the full range: VPN (WireGuard, OpenVPN) for secure tunnels, Modbus/MQTT for machine communication, and digital I/Os for remote control. Via Teltonika RMS, you can even roll out eSIM profiles to hundreds of routers simultaneously without being on-site.
