The DMM-7-38-2SP antenna provides an innovative and future proof solution for 2G / 3G/ 4G and 3.5GHz 5G networks. Incorporating two separately fed ultra wideband elements in a single housing the DMM is equipped to provide portable MiMo and diversity support for the networks of today and tomorrow.

The DMM-7-38-2SP is highly portable and features desk mount feet which fold out for use, and flat for transport. A handy suction window mount enables users to optimise their signal in multiple locations, with instant installation and easy removal. The product is supplied with 2 metres (6’) of cable and SMA male connector.

Stable mount

To attach my antenna to my yacht, I also ordered this mount, partly out of curiosity. I was eager to see how strong the magnets were and how durable they would be. I have to admit, I was a little worried that everything would fall into the sea while I was underway. After the first trip, however, I was reassured; the mount held perfectly, and everything stayed in place. Even after the third and fourth trips, everything was still fine, so I hope it continues to work well.

I had to choose between this mounting kit and the one with suction cups, and I went with this one. I wasn't entirely confident in the magnetic mounting system's security. I received reassurance over the phone, and was told I could exchange the kit if necessary. After the initial tests, my initial concerns quickly disappeared. The durability seems extremely promising, and overall, the quality is very high.

To be able to write my master's thesis from home (rather far from civilization), I looked for a way to boost the mobile signal without having to drill into the apartment building. This antenna now sits next to my laptop on my desk and provides a surprisingly good signal. Now I just have to pass the exam.

Definitely better than the internal antenna; you get better reception if you hang it on the inside of the window.

However, if you want 5/5 reception, you'll need an external antenna.

Stabile Halterung

Um meine Antenne an meiner Yacht zu befestigen, habe ich mir noch zusätzlich diese Halterung bestellt, auch weil ich neugierig war. Ich war gespannt daruf wie stark die Magneten sind und ob sie viel aushalten werden. Ich muss zugeben, ein bisschen Sorge hatte ich aber auch, dass alles ins Meer fällt wenn ich unterwegs bin. Nach der ersten Fahrt war ich aber beruhigt, die Halterung hat perfekt gehalten und alles ist an seinem Platz. Auch nach Fahrt drei und vier, war noch alles in Ordnung, so kann es weiter gehen.

Ich musste mich zwischen diesem und dem Montagezubehör mit den Saugnäpfen entscheiden und es ist dieses geworden. Mit den Magneten war ich mir nicht ganz sicher, ob ich beruhigt an die Sicherheit glaube. Per Telefon wurde mir nochmal alles versichert, andern falls könnte ich das Zubehör umtauschen. Nach den ersten Tests legte sich gleich das unsichere Gefühl. Die Haltbarkeit ist ausgesprochen vielversprechend und allgemein macht die Qualität einen sehr hochwertigen Eindruck.

Um meine Masterarbeit von zu Hause aus (eher abseits der Zivilisation) schreiben zu können, suchte ich eine Möglichkeit das Mobilfunksignal zu verstärken, ohne am Mietshaus bohren zu müssen. Diese Antenne steht nun neben meinem Laptop auf dem Schreibtisch und schafft ein überraschend gutes Signal. Jetzt muss nur noch bestanden werden.

Auf jeden Fall besser als die interne Antenne , man hat besseren Empfang wenn man sie von innen ans Fenster hängt.

Wer allerdings 5/5 Empfang möchte , kommt um eine Außenantenne nicht herum.
