Ubiquiti USW-Flex-XG: No More Waiting
When you're pushing large files to your NAS or editing 4K/8K footage directly from a server, classic Gigabit LAN is often too slow.
The USW-Flex-XG brings 10 Gigabit Ethernet to your desk – without expensive fiber cables, using standard RJ45 network cables (Cat6a recommended for 10G).
Compact but Powerful
Usually, 10G switches are loud and bulky. The Flex XG is barely larger than a paperback book and completely silent (fanless).
It offers four 10G ports for your high-end devices (PC, Mac, NAS) and one 1G port, which is often used as an uplink to the rest of the network or for power supply.
Power Requirements
10G technology requires energy. The switch gets warm during operation, which is normal (the chassis acts as a heat sink).
You can power it in two ways:
1. Via USB-C: A powerful 5V/5A power adapter is included.
2. Via PoE+: If your main switch provides PoE+ (802.3at), you can power the Flex XG via Port 1 and save cable clutter.
