UACC-CKG2-PLUS-STAND: The Must-Have Upgrade for Your Cloud Key
The UniFi Cloud Key Gen2 Plus is a brilliant device, but it has a physical drawback: It's small, houses a hard drive, and uses an aluminum case as a heatsink. If it lies flat on a table, heat builds up.
The UACC-CKG2-PLUS-STAND solves this problem simply and effectively.
Thermals and Lifespan
Vertical mounting allows air to flow past both large side surfaces of the Cloud Key. Heat rises (chimney effect) and is efficiently dissipated.
The result: The operating temperature drops measurably. This primarily protects the integrated HDD and prevents thermal throttling of the CPU under high load (e.g., with many UniFi Protect cameras).
Tidy Up
Besides cooling, the stand saves space. Cables (USB-C and Ethernet) are neatly routed to the back. Thanks to the weighted base and rubber coating, the controller remains stable even if there is tension on the cables.
