Ubiquiti U6-Pro: The Upgrade for Pros
In a business environment or a well-connected smart home, "standard" is often not enough. If video conferences stutter because a backup is running, you need more lanes on the data highway.
The U6-Pro delivers exactly that. It is the highest-performance WiFi 6 AP in the classic UniFi saucer format (before stepping up to Enterprise models).
The 4x4 MIMO Advantage
The crucial difference compared to Lite/Plus models: The U6-Pro transmits in the vital 5 GHz band with four antennas simultaneously (4x4 MIMO).
This means it can process twice as many data streams in parallel as a 2x2 device. This ensures not only higher theoretical speed (4.8 Gbps) but, more importantly, a more stable network when many users are online at once.
Chipset & Performance
Under the hood works a powerful Qualcomm chipset known for its efficiency and signal quality. Thanks to support for 160 MHz wide channels, modern laptops can transfer data as fast as if they were connected by cable.
Important: Due to its high performance, the U6-Pro requires a PoE+ (802.3at) connection.
