Ubiquiti UDM-SE: The Complete Network in 1U
If you want to build a professional UniFi network, the Dream Machine Special Edition is the centerpiece around which everything revolves.
It replaces several devices at once: The Cloud Key, the Security Gateway, the main switch, and the video recorder. Just screw it into the server rack, plug it in, and you're done.
The "SE" Upgrade: PoE & Speed
Why choose the SE over the regular Pro? 1. PoE Onboard: The integrated 8-port switch now supports PoE. You can connect your Access Points (e.g., U6-Pro) or cameras directly without buying an extra PoE switch. 2. 2.5G Internet: The RJ45 WAN input supports 2.5 Gbps. Ideal for modern fiber modems delivering more than 1 Gigabit. 3. SSD Storage: A 128 GB SSD is built-in. UniFi OS and applications run incredibly fast on it. The hard drive (which you can add) is used exclusively for video recordings.
Security Without Brakes
The UDM-SE offers enterprise security features like Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) and an Intrusion Prevention System (IPS).
Unlike old routers, performance doesn't drop here: The UDM-SE manages a solid 3.5 Gbps throughput at maximum security settings.
