The First 5G Router in Compact Format
Until now, 5G routers were large and expensive. The RUT271 changes that. It is the first router to use the new **5G RedCap** (Reduced Capability) technology. This means: It offers you all the advantages of 5G (such as low latency, network prioritization, and future-proofing) but skips unnecessary gigabit speeds that IoT applications don't need anyway. This makes it compact, energy-efficient, and affordable.
The Perfect Upgrade for RUT240/241
Do you already have systems with the Teltonika RUT240 or RUT241 in the field? The RUT271 has exactly the same form factor. You can swap it 1:1 without rebuilding the control cabinet. This makes your infrastructure ready for the next 10-15 years, as 4G/LTE will eventually be replaced by 5G.
Stability through Technology
In addition to the fast 5G connection, the router offers proven features: Automatic reboots in case of connection loss (Ping Reboot), digital inputs/outputs for remote relay control, and the powerful RutOS operating system with VPN (WireGuard, OpenVPN) and MQTT support.
