The 2-meter long cables with SMA connectors fit most mobile routers, and the appropriate RP-SMA adapters are even included for WiFi devices. Ideal for the Yacht / Camper / Motorhome area.

Is the Poynting PUCK-5 v2 a router?
No, it is purely an antenna. It must be connected to a 5G / 4G Routers or another compatible device to receive and transmit a signal. It merely improves the reception of the connected device.
Can I use the antenna for my motorhome or boat?
Yes, absolutely. Thanks to its robust, waterproof (IP69K), and UV-stable design, as well as its omni-directional characteristics, it is ideal for use on motorhomes, trucks, buses, and boats in coastal or inland waters. This is a great solution for Yacht / Camper / Motorhome.
Does this antenna improve my WiFi speed at home?
The antenna is primarily designed for connection to mobile routers (in vehicles, IoT applications) to extend their external WiFi range or to receive an external WiFi signal (client mode). It is not a replacement for a conventional WiFi Routers for home use.
Do I have to connect all five cables?
For optimal performance, especially for high 5G data rates (MIMO), both cellular cables should be connected. The same applies to the WiFi Antenna Cables. If you only need one function (e.g., only 5G), the other cables can remain unconnected.
What does 'active GPS antenna' mean?
An active GPS antenna has a built-in signal amplifier (LNA). This amplifies the very weak satellite signal directly at the antenna before it is transmitted through the Cabling to the receiver. This leads to faster and more stable positioning. This is often used with GPS Trackers.
Is the antenna compatible with every 5G router?
It is compatible with practically any 5G Routers that has external SMA type antenna connections. For WiFi connections, RP-SMA Coaxial Adapters are included if needed. It is important to check your router's connections before purchasing.
