It improves the signal for this router, which then provides a stable WiFi Network that your mobile phone can connect to. It cannot be connected directly to a smartphone. This setup is ideal for optimizing your Network with a dedicated 4G / LTE Routers or 5G Routers.
Is the antenna installation complicated?
The mechanical installation of this antenna is very flexible thanks to the included Accessories and easy for those with DIY skills. You only need to connect the four cables correctly to the corresponding antenna ports of the router (e.g., Main 0, Main 1, Div 0, Div 1). Electrical configuration is not necessary. We also offer various Antenna Mounting Accessories to simplify the process.
Why are the cables only 2 meters long?
The cable length is deliberately kept short to minimize signal loss (attenuation). Every additional meter of cable weakens the received signal. For longer distances, high-quality, low-loss extension cables should be used, with the shortest possible total length always achieving the best performance.
