Extreme Range Thanks to Downtilt
When building large-scale IoT networks, range is everything. An 8dBi antenna bundles the signal extremely strongly in the horizontal plane (only 15° vertical beamwidth), enabling gigantic distances. The problem with many standard antennas: If you mount them on a high silo or building roof, the flat signal simply shoots over the sensors on the ground. The HORIZON V2 solves this problem with an innovative electrical downtilt of 10°. The signal "donut" is tilted slightly downward towards the ground. This way, you hit the LoRa nodes and Helium miners in the city or in the field exactly where they are!
Bandpass Filter: Your Shield Against LTE
Whether in the city or the countryside, cell towers are everywhere and transmit with extremely high power. The LTE 800 MHz and GSM 900 MHz networks in particular are dangerously close to the license-free 868 MHz band. Without a filter, your gateway's receiver can literally become "deaf" due to this noise. Unlike cheap antennas, this model features a hardware-integrated bandpass filter. Interfering signals are rigorously blocked, leading to much clearer data transmissions and stable operation. All frequencies outside the working band are also safely short-circuited to ground (DC-Ground).
Weatherproof and Professional
The 80 cm long omnidirectional antenna is made of durable, UV-resistant fiberglass (IP64) and withstands the harshest weather conditions. On the bottom, there is a professional N Female connector for connecting low-loss coaxial cables (perfect for gateways from RAK, MikroTik, Kerlink, or Cisco). A robust mounting bracket including a pipe clamp for secure mast mounting is directly included in the scope of delivery.
