What do I need 10G for?
These modules are ideal for: * Switch-to-Switch: Connecting the Core Switch (e.g., USW-Aggregation) to Edge Switches (e.g., USW-Pro-48). * Server/NAS: Connecting high-performance storage so backups finish in seconds instead of hours.
Technical Requirements
Attention: You need switches with SFP+ ports.
A normal SFP port (1G) cannot use this module. The modules work with 850 nm wavelength on Multi-Mode fibers (OM3/OM4). These are the same cables used for 1G – often you just need to swap the modules to get 10x the speed!
