LWO-SFPP-2733-20: 10 Gigabit on a Single Strand
In many networks, the number of available fiber strands is the limiting factor. Laying new cables (civil engineering) is extremely expensive.
The LWO-SFPP-2733-20 solves this problem by using Bidirectional Technology (BiDi). Instead of using one fiber for transmitting (TX) and one for receiving (RX), this module does both over the same fiber by using different wavelengths. You effectively save 50% of your fiber resources or double the bandwidth without new cables.
How it Works: The Pairing Principle
BiDi modules must always be used in pairs.
- This Module (Side A): Transmits data at 1270 nm and receives at 1330 nm.
- The Counterpart (Side B): Must work in reverse (TX 1330 nm / RX 1270 nm).
Please ensure that you have the matching module (usually ending in -3327-20) installed on the other side.
Performance & Diagnostics
The module supports the 10GBASE-BX standard and bridges distances of up to 20 kilometers (Long Range). Thanks to the integrated DDM/DOM function (Digital Diagnostic Monitoring), the switch can read important parameters such as optical receive power (RX Power), temperature, and voltage in real-time. This enormously simplifies troubleshooting connection issues.
