Your Private Data Highway Over 25 km
Imagine you could connect two buildings as easily as running an Ethernet Cable through the air. That's exactly what the Ubiquiti PowerBeam 5AC Gen2 Link Set allows you to do. As a highly specialized Wireless Bridge, this system establishes an extremely stable and fast point-to-point wireless link for internet between buildings. Forget slow connections or expensive excavation work. With a data throughput of over 450 Mbps and a range of up to 25 kilometers (with clear line-of-sight), you can effortlessly and reliably stream 4K videos, operate IP Cameras, or connect entire company Networks.
Ingeniously Simple: Installation Thanks to Management Radio
Ubiquiti Networks designed the Gen2 series with you, the installer, in mind. The highlight is the separate 2.4 GHz management radio. What does that mean for you? It's simple: you can connect directly to the PowerBeam via WiFi with your smartphone to perfectly align and configure it. The UMobile App guides you through the process without you having to disturb the active 5 GHz main connection. This saves time, nerves, and makes on-site setup easier than ever before.
Built to Last: Robustness Meets Performance
An outdoor Antenna has to withstand a lot. The PowerBeam 5AC Gen2 is perfectly equipped for this. The housing is made of UV-stabilized plastic, and the reflector is made of powder-coated steel. The Mounting Systems are GEOMET-coated and offer significantly better corrosion protection than standard galvanization. The system has passed rigorous tests for salt spray, vibration, temperature shocks, and heavy rain. You can rely on your Point-to-Point (PtP) connection remaining stable in all weather conditions.
When is the PowerBeam 5AC Gen2 Set the Perfect Choice?
This set is ideal for you if you need to establish a dedicated connection between two fixed points. A clear line-of-sight is the only prerequisite. Typical applications include connecting an outbuilding, networking two company locations, or transferring data from a surveillance camera to a recorder. Basic technical knowledge (IP addresses, etc.) is helpful for setup, but thanks to the modern airOS 8 interface and the mobile app, it's also manageable for ambitious beginners.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Do I really need two of these PowerBeams for a stable WiFi Bridge Set to create a reliable Network connection?
Yes, absolutely! To establish a point-to-point (PtP) connection, you always need a pair. You configure one Ubiquiti Networks PowerBeam as a transmitter (WiFi Access Points) and the other as a receiver (Station). This is how you create your own exclusive data line through the air using airMAX ac Components.
Can I connect the PowerBeam directly to my laptop to receive WiFi, like with a WiFi USB Adapter?
No, the PowerBeam is not designed for that. It's a bridge, not a WiFi Router for end devices. You connect it via an Ethernet Cable to your WiFi Router or Ethernet Switch. At the destination, you also connect the second PowerBeam to a WiFi Router, which then provides the familiar WiFi for your laptop and smartphone.
Do I need an electrical outlet directly at the mast for the Power Supply, or can I use PoE Injectors / Power Supplies?
Don't worry, you don't need that! That's the ingenious thing about Power over Ethernet (PoE). The PowerBeam gets its power directly via the Ethernet Cable. You simply plug the included PoE Injectors / Power Supplies adapter into an outlet in the house, and from there you only run a single Ethernet Cable to the Antenna – data and power in one!
What does 'Gen2' actually mean, and what improvements does it offer over its predecessor for your Network?
'Gen2' stands for the second generation. We have some cool upgrades for you here: a separate management WiFi, which allows you to easily set up the antenna via smartphone, improved Lightning Protection, and a more robust Mounting Systems bracket that makes installation easier for you.
Does the PowerBeam also work to connect multiple buildings to a single point in your Network?
Absolutely! You can use the PowerBeam as a receiver (Client) in a point-to-multipoint (PtMP) setup. However, for this, you'll need a suitable base station at the central transmitting point, such as a Sector Antenna, which then distributes the signal to your various PowerBeams, forming an efficient Network with airMAX ac Components.
What is the maximum length allowed for the Ethernet Cables between the PoE adapter and the antenna for optimal Cabling?
You can use an Ethernet Cable up to 100 meters long. It's important that you use a high-quality, shielded cable (at least CAT5e) suitable for outdoor use for a stable connection and reliable Power Supply from your PoE Injectors / Power Supplies. This ensures your Cabling is on the safe side.
