Your Personal Data Highway Through the Air
No more slow connections or expensive excavation work. With the Ubiquiti NanoStation M2 Link Set, you build your own powerful WiFi Bridge between two buildings. Whether you want to extend internet to your garden shed, connect your workshop to the office, or link two company locations – this set makes it possible. The two devices are already pre-configured as a transparent WiFi Bridge. This means for you: unpack, mount, align, and immediately enjoy a stable connection, as if it were a single long Ethernet Cable.
Built for Eternity: Outdoor Performance That Impresses
The NanoStation M2 is no ordinary WiFi device. It was developed from the ground up for tireless outdoor use. The UV-resistant plastic housing protects the high-quality technology from sun, rain, snow, and extreme temperatures. Rely on a permanently stable Point-to-Point connection that reliably performs its duty 24/7. Thanks to the included Mounting System, installation on a mast or wall is quickly done.
Intelligent Power: PoE Passthrough for Maximum Flexibility
A brilliant feature of the NanoStation M2 is the second Ethernet Port with PoE Passthrough. What does this mean for you? You can connect another PoE-enabled device, for example an IP surveillance camera, directly to the NanoStation and power it. This saves you an additional Power Supply and reduces Cabling effort at the mounting location to an absolute minimum. A clean and efficient solution to expand your Network.
airMAX Technology: The Turbo for Your Wireless Connection
While standard WiFi quickly reaches its limits in crowded areas, the NanoStation M2 plays to its strengths here. The proprietary Ubiquiti airMAX (TDMA) protocol is like intelligent traffic control for your data. It prevents collisions and ensures that the available bandwidth is utilized with maximum efficiency. The result is significantly higher stability and better throughput, especially over long distances and with many interference sources.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Do I have to complicate setting up the two NanoStations as a WiFi Bridge, or is there an easier way?
Don't worry, we've often already taken care of that for you! This set usually arrives pre-configured. So, you just need to mount the two devices, align them with each other, and connect them to your Network. It hardly gets any easier!
How do you power the NanoStation M2? I don't see a regular power connection.
Good question! Power is cleverly supplied directly via the Ethernet Cables. This is called 'Power over Ethernet' (PoE). You simply connect the NanoStation to the included PoE Injectors / Power Supplies, and it sends power and data over a single LAN cable to the device. Super practical!
What's the most important thing for me to get a stable connection over a long distance?
The absolute key is a clear and direct line of sight between the two Antennas. Trees, buildings, or other obstacles in the way can significantly weaken your signal or even completely block the connection. So, ensure a clear path for your signal!
Can I also use one of the NanoStations as a regular WiFi Access Point for my phone in the garden?
Yes, you can! You can configure one of the stations as a WiFi Access Point. But remember: it has a directional antenna. This means it transmits the signal specifically in one direction (in an approximately 55° wide cone) and not in all directions like your home WiFi Routers. Perfect for illuminating a specific area like your patio!
Why do I only achieve just under 100 Mbps, even though 150+ Mbps is specified?
This is due to the built-in Network connection. Your NanoStation M2 has a Fast Ethernet port, which is technically limited to 100 Mbps. Even if the wireless connection between the devices can be faster, the wired connection is the bottleneck that limits data throughput to this maximum.
What is the second LAN port for, and what does PoE-Passthrough offer me?
The second LAN port is a brilliant feature! You can directly connect another device there, for example, an IP Camera. And with 'PoE-Passthrough', you can even power this IP Camera directly via your NanoStation. This saves you an extra power cable and makes the installation super clean.
