External Antenna ConnectionsAdditionally, the Teltonika RUTM54 5G router features four external 5G/LTE antenna connections (SMA), two external Wi-Fi antenna connections (RP-SMA), and one GPS (SMA) antenna connection. This allows the use of external antennas to enhance connectivity in areas with weak signals.
Fallback FunctionIf no LTE or 5G signal is available, the Teltonika RUTM54 router can alternatively connect to the internet via a DSL, cable, or fiber router/modem using its WAN port. With the integrated fallback function, the Teltonika RUTM54 can be configured to automatically switch to a predefined wired connection in case of mobile network outages. Conversely, it can also switch from a wired connection to a mobile data connection if the wired network fails. This ensures an almost fail-safe connection.
