How Does It Achieve 9 dBi?
The higher the dBi value, the flatter the "donut" shape in which the antenna transmits and receives. This antenna focuses energy extremely strongly in the horizontal plane. This means: It shoots very far into the distance, but receives signals from high above (mountain) or below poorly. For flat areas (water/fields), it is ideal.
