This compact WiFi omni-directional antenna / rod antenna is designed for the 2.4 GHz WiFi frequency band and supports all common WiFi standards within this frequency band (IEEE802.11 b/g/n). The WiFi antenna has a gain of 2dBi, making it suitable for 2.4GHz WiFi networks and connections over short distances.
Due to the nearly spherical radiation pattern of this WiFi antenna, the signal is evenly distributed in nearly all directions. Therefore, the WiFi antenna is particularly suitable for use in homes or buildings where multiple floors need coverage.
The WiFi omni-directional antenna has an RP-SMA connector with a hinge joint (see product images) and is intended for direct attachment to a WiFi device. This naturally requires an external antenna connection. Alternatively, the antenna can also be mounted on a magnetic base with an RP-SMA connector or placed away from your WiFi device using an extension cable.
