Ubiquiti U6 Mesh Pro: Range through Physics
While small Access Points often fail due to physics, the U6 Mesh Pro uses its size as an advantage.
It is not an unobtrusive design object, but a tool. Inside the large housing is a "Super Antenna" with enormous sensitivity and transmission power.
Why "only" 2x2 MIMO?
On paper, it has fewer antenna streams (2x2) than the small U6-Mesh (4x4). Why is it called "Pro" then?
The answer lies in the Antenna Gain. With 8 dBi on both bands, this AP "hears" and "shouts" almost twice as far as standard models. It is optimized to keep *individual* clients stable over *long distances* rather than serving hundreds of clients in a small space. This makes it perfect for:

Connectivity for Pros
A feature many have missed: The U6 Mesh Pro possesses two Gigabit network ports.
Port 1 powers the AP via PoE. Port 2 can be used to pass data through – ideal for connecting a surveillance camera or a directional radio antenna (Building Bridge) directly to the pole without running a second cable.
