Ubiquiti POE-48-24W-G: Full Power for UniFi & Co.
Anyone operating a modern UniFi Access Point (like the U6-Pro) expects high-speed WiFi. But often the wrong power supply is used. A 100 Mbps injector acts like a handbrake.
The POE-48-24W-G releases this brake. It combines the necessary 48 Volts with true Gigabit connectivity.
What do I need this adapter for?
This injector is the Swiss Army knife for Ubiquiti's 48V world. It is needed for: * UniFi Access Points: Almost all models from the AC series onwards (UAP-AC-Lite/LR/PRO, U6-Series, NanoHD). * airFiber: AF-5X, AF-2X, AF-3X, AF-4X. * EdgeMAX: To power EdgeRouter X-SFP or EdgePoint R6.
Why 48 Volts are better
Compared to 24V systems, less current flows at 48V for the same power. This means: Less heat in the cable and more stable voltage even at the end of long lines (e.g., 80 meters to the Access Point in the warehouse).
Safety Note
Please do not connect this adapter to old 24V airMAX devices (e.g., NanoStation M5). The 48 Volts would destroy these devices! It is strictly intended for 48V hardware (UniFi/airFiber).
