Ubiquiti USW-Flex-Utility: Making the Flex Grow Up
The USW-Flex is a brilliant little outdoor switch. But often you face the problem: "How do I mount it neatly?" and "Where do I get enough PoE power?".
The USW-Flex-Utility answers both questions. It's more than just a plastic box – it's a system.
Maximum Power Guaranteed
Inside the enclosure sits a dedicated 60 Watt PoE injector.
This means: You simply run a standard AC power cable into the box. The injector powers the USW-Flex (which simply snaps in).
As a result, the switch "knows" it's connected to a strong power source and unlocks its full PoE budget of 46 Watts. Enough power for PTZ cameras, strong Access Points, and wireless bridges.
Order Instead of Clutter
Without this utility, Ethernet cables often hang unprotected on the pole. Here, all cables (power and Ethernet) are fed from below through waterproof seals into the housing. A short patch cable (included) connects the injector to the switch. From the outside, everything looks clean and professional.
Mounting Made Easy
The enclosure can be strapped to poles or screwed directly onto flat walls. It is the cleanest way to distribute an outdoor network.
