Ubiquiti NanoSwitch: One for All
The situation is classic: You ran one network cable to the mast, but now you want to install three cameras there. Pulling a new cable is too much hassle.
The NanoSwitch is the solution. It acts as a weatherproof power strip for your network.
Power Passthrough
The concept is simple: You connect a strong 24V power supply downstairs (we recommend the POE-24-24W or POE-24-30W).
The power travels up to the NanoSwitch into Port 1. The switch consumes about 1.5 Watts for itself and passes the rest of the energy to Ports 2, 3, and 4.
Important Technical Notes
Please note the following before purchasing: 1. 24V Only: The switch works exclusively with 24V Passive PoE. It does not work with 48V (UniFi Pro/Enterprise) switches. 2. Always On: The power on the outputs is always on. Do not connect laptops or non-PoE devices, as they could be damaged. 3. Power Budget: The sum of all connected devices must not exceed the output of your power supply (e.g., with a 24W supply, you have approx. 22W left for your cameras).
Mounting
The NanoSwitch is built for outdoor use. It can be mounted to a pole using the included straps or screwed to a wall. Cable entry is from the bottom to protect against water ingress.
