Ubiquiti NBE-16-WM: Wireless for Renters
The small Ubiquiti NanoBeams (16 dBi) are extremely popular for discreet connections. But often installation fails due to restrictions: The landlord forbids drilling or there is no balcony.
The NBE-16-WM solves this problem elegantly. It brings the NanoBeam to the window.
Intelligent Design
Other window mounts are often just universal "arms". Ubiquiti thought further here:
The NanoBeam has a ball head on the back. The NBE-16-WM serves as the matching "socket". You take the NanoBeam, insert it into the suction cup holder, and screw the large ring tight.
This keeps the device extremely close to the glass (fewer reflections) while still allowing perfect alignment.
Important Note on Attenuation
As with all window installations: Glass attenuates the signal.
Especially modern, metal-coated thermal insulation glass can act like a Faraday cage. This mount is the perfect solution if outdoor mounting is *impossible*, but test the connection before permanent use.
Compatibility
This mount fits exclusively for:
* NanoBeam M5-16 (NBE-M5-16)
* NanoBeam 5AC-16 (NBE-5AC-16 / Gen2)
It does NOT fit the larger 19 dBi models or NanoStations!
