The Worry-Free Package for Building Connectivity

With this wireless bridge set, you connect two locations wirelessly as if you were running an invisible network cable. Based on the proven Ubiquiti NanoStation Loco M2 (2.4 GHz), this set is excellent for bringing internet to outbuildings, connecting warehouses, or integrating surveillance cameras into the network.

Optional "Plug & Play" Service
The choice is yours: Order the components in factory state or use our popular Pre-configuration Service. If you choose this option, our technicians do the work for you: We update the firmware, set up individual WPA2 encryption, and configure IP addresses (DHCP). You simply mount and plug in the devices at the destination—the connection is established immediately.

Technology and Installation
For best results, the two devices should have a clear "line of sight." However, the 2.4 GHz technology handles minor obstacles like individual trees better than 5 GHz systems. Power is supplied simply via the included PoE adapter, so no 230V outlet is needed directly at the mounting location (e.g., pole or outer wall).

Dreamlike connection
5 from 5

I connected two houses that are 120m apart as the crow flies. My first thought was that there were several trees in the garden between them obstructing the signal, so as a first attempt, I put the transmitter in house 1 in the attic, roughly aligned it, put the receiver in house 2 in the attic, and lo and behold, immediate reception! Between the transmitter and receiver there's now drywall, a vapor barrier, 20cm of mineral wool, underlayment, and clay roof tiles in house 2 and clay roof tiles in house 2. I'm thrilled! Behind it, I installed a Ubiqui hotspot, and I'm getting 60 Mbps download and 20 Mbps upload speeds on my mobile phone.

Flawless connection
5 from 5

The Ubiquiti NanoStation Loco M2 P2P set, including pre-configuration and firmware update, was delivered six days later.

Installation was trouble-free. The transmitter (station) and receiver (AP) connected immediately.

Questions I had regarding settings and the GUI were answered promptly, to my complete satisfaction, and in a friendly manner via chat and telephone.

Wi-Fi Bridge:

A Wi-Fi bridge was set up between two houses located approximately 30 meters apart as the crow flies, since laying cables would have been extremely time-consuming and costly. There is a clear line of sight between the houses with no obstructions (such as trees, etc.).

The Wi-Fi bridge achieves a transmission speed of approximately 74 Mbps AP -> Station and approximately 53 Mbps station -> AP achieved, according to the device GUI network speed test.

A Fritzbox was connected to the receiver (AP) via mesh as a WLAN and LAN access point.

The WLAN bridge is running very stably, now in operation for 3 weeks.

Setup:

The transmitter (station) is located in the attic and has to penetrate the roof, which consists of solid aerated concrete roof panels with clay roof tiles on top.

The receiver (AP) is also located in the attic, behind a double-glazed window with a plastic roller shutter.

The transmitter and receiver were positioned by feel. A slight adjustment (rotation) did not result in any significant changes in the transmission speed.

However, the distance of the transmitter (station) from the aerated concrete roof panels was crucial for the transmission speed. Positioning it too close or too far resulted in a significant drop in transmission speed.

Traumhafte Verbindung
5 from 5

Tadellose Verbindung
5 from 5
