Can I use this set to directly provide WLAN for smartphones in an outbuilding?
Not directly. The set establishes the backbone link between the buildings. Inside the outbuilding, you need an additional access point or router to broadcast standard WLAN.
How does the Power Supply work for two outdoor devices?
Both devices are powered via Power over Ethernet (PoE) through the Network cable. Two matching Gigabit PoE injectors are included in the bundle.
What happens if there are trees in the directional line of sight?
Trees and other obstacles heavily attenuate or completely block the 5 GHz signal. A completely clear line of sight is essential for a stable connection.
Can I connect a security camera directly to the secondary port?
Yes, thanks to PoE passthrough, you can connect and power a compatible 24V PoE security camera directly without running a second cable.
What is the maximum distance allowed between the two buildings?
