Ubiquiti AMO-2G10 | 2.4 GHz, airMAX Omni Antenna, 10dBi

The 360-degree solution for difficult terrain. The Ubiquiti airMAX Omni AMO-2G10 is a 2x2 MIMO omnidirectional antenna for the 2.4 GHz frequency band. With 10 dBi gain, it delivers a strong signal in all directions. Its true strength lies in physics: Since 2.4 GHz waves penetrate obstacles better than 5 GHz, this antenna is the first choice for campgrounds, parks, marinas, or storage areas with trees or light structures. The design integrates a mount for the Ubiquiti Rocket M2, which clicks onto the back without tools. This allows you to set up a powerful base station in minutes that reaches clients even without direct line of sight.

Highlights

  • 360° Coverage: Serves clients all around the mast (Omni).
  • 2.4 GHz Power: Penetrates trees and walls better than 5 GHz.
  • 10 dBi Gain: Solid range for campus and WISP networks.
  • 12° Elevation: Wide vertical beam captures nearby clients optimally.
  • Rocket-Ready: Plug & Play mounting for Rocket M2 radios.
  • Robust: Weatherproof design incl. connection cables.

Ubiquiti AMO-2G10: Wi-Fi Through the Woods

Anyone who has to provide Wi-Fi to a campground or a complex corporate site knows the problem: 5 GHz is fast, but often fails at the first tree.
The AMO-2G10 utilizes the more robust 2.4 GHz band. Combined with its omnidirectional characteristic, it is the perfect "central distributor."

Why 2.4 GHz Omni?

1. All-Around: You place a mast in the middle of the area and serve all directions simultaneously. 2. Penetration: The signal "creeps" around corners and through foliage better than with 5 GHz antennas. 3. Compatibility: Since phones and laptops communicate directly on 2.4 GHz, this antenna (configured with a Rocket M2 as an Access Point) can also serve end devices directly – not just pure airMAX bridges.

Technical Finesse

With 10 dBi gain, it is strong enough for radii of several hundred meters (depending on obstacles). The vertical beamwidth of 12 degrees ensures that the signal does not pass flat like a laser disc over the users' heads, but also illuminates the ground area well.
