Ubiquiti AM-2G15-120: Broad Shoulders for Your Network
If you need to cover an area where direct Line-of-Sight (LoS) is not guaranteed – such as a campground in the forest or a village with many trees – 2.4 GHz is often the only salvation.
The AM-2G15-120 is the workhorse for such scenarios.
3-Sector Cluster: Efficient and Good
Unlike the 90° version (which requires 4 antennas for a tower), this model covers 120 degrees.
The Advantage: You only need three antennas and three Rocket M2 radios to cover the entire perimeter (360°). This saves hardware costs, tower rental fees, and reduces cabling complexity.
Why Not Just Use an Omni?
An omnidirectional antenna would be even simpler, but sector antennas have crucial advantages: 1. Higher Gain: 15 dBi reaches significantly further than an omni (usually 10-13 dBi). 2. Less Interference: Since the antenna is shielded at the back, it doesn't interfere with itself when multiple sectors are on the same mast.
Seamless Integration
The antenna is "Built for Rocket". You simply click your Ubiquiti Rocket M2 into the back. The weatherproof connections are protected by a cover. The system is designed for longevity and storm resistance.
