Built for Extremes: Your 4G Access in Wind and Weather
The Teltonika OTD140 is no ordinary router. Its robust housing made of PC+ASA plastic is IP55 certified, protecting it against dust and jet water. Coupled with an impressive operating temperature range of -40 °C to +75 °C, it is the perfect solution for year-round outdoor use. Whether on construction sites, in agriculture, for event WiFi, or on exposed building facades – this router delivers reliably when it matters.
Ingeniously Simple: Power and Data via One Cable with PoE
Forget complex cable clutter. The OTD140 is a 4G Router for surveillance camera and other PoE-enabled devices. It is powered itself via the first Ethernet port with Power over Ethernet (802.3af/at). The highlight: The second port acts as PoE-Out and can directly power a connected device such as an IP Camera or an external WiFi Access Point. This greatly simplifies installation and saves the cost of additional power supplies. You only need suitable PoE Injectors / Power Supplies or a PoE switch.
Always Online Thanks to Intelligent Dual-SIM Failover
For critical applications where a connection failure is not an option, the OTD140 offers a dual-SIM function with advanced failover. Equip the router with SIM cards from two different providers. Should the primary Network fail, the signal become too weak, or your data limit be reached, the router automatically and uninterruptedly switches to the second SIM card. This ensures a stable and redundant internet connection for your project.
Full Control with Professional Remote Management
Under the hood, RutOS, a powerful and flexible OpenWrt-based operating system, is at work. It offers you a wealth of professional Network functions, from static and dynamic routing to a granular firewall and a wide range of VPN protocols such as OpenVPN, IPsec, and WireGuard. In combination with the Teltonika Remote Management System (RMS), you can centrally and efficiently manage, monitor, and configure your device fleet remotely – a must for every professional user.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Is the Teltonika OTD140 a WiFi Router?
No, the OTD140 does not have a built-in WiFi function. It is a 4G/LTE router that establishes an internet connection via the 4G/LTE network and provides it via two wired Ethernet ports. To create a WiFi network, a separate WiFi Access Point must be connected.
Can I operate an outdoor surveillance camera with the OTD140?
Yes, it is ideal for this. Thanks to the PoE-Out port, the OTD140 can directly power and provide data to a PoE-enabled IP camera. The robust, weatherproof housing allows for mounting directly next to the camera.
What does 'Dual-SIM with Failover' mean?
This means the router can accommodate two SIM cards from different providers. If one provider's network fails or the signal is too weak, the router automatically and seamlessly switches to the second SIM card to ensure a constant internet connection.
Do I need a separate Power Supply for the OTD140?
Yes, no Power Supply or PoE Injector is included as standard. You must power the router via an 802.3af/at-compatible PoE Switch or a separate PoE Injector.
What is the difference between 4G Cat 4 and 5G?
4G Cat 4 is a 4G standard with a maximum of 150 Mbps download speed. 5G is the newer mobile generation and potentially offers significantly higher speeds and lower latencies. The OTD140 does not support 5G.
Is mounting complicated?
No, mounting is simplified by the integrated bracket. The device can be attached either to a flat wall or to a mast with standard cable ties or metal straps.
