The Poynting LPDA-500 is a high-performance, wideband directional antenna specifically designed for use in modern wireless communication systems. It covers an exceptionally broad frequency range from 617 MHz to 7200 MHz, making it ideal for 5G, 4G/LTE, 3G, 2G, WiFi/WiFi 6, LoRa, Helium (IoT), and other applications. Thanks to its log-periodic dipole array (LPDA) design, it offers a consistent directional radiation pattern and high gain of up to 11.5 dBi across the entire frequency range, ensuring significantly improved signal strength and connection stability even in remote or challenging environments.
The antenna is ideally suited for a wide variety of use cases—whether in industrial environments, rural residential applications, or professional IoT deployments. It is particularly effective in installations where cellular or WiFi signals need to be focused and strengthened, such as for mobile broadband routers, 4G and 5G modems, signal boosters, or mesh systems. Its directional design also provides significantly improved range for LoRaWAN and Helium networks—ideal for gateways or nodes that require reliable connectivity.
Thanks to its robust construction, the A-LPDA-0500-V1-01 meets the highest standards of durability and weather resistance. It is rated IP65 for protection against dust and water and can withstand extreme temperatures from -40°C to +80°C. The included mast mounting hardware allows for easy installation on poles or walls and offers flexible angle adjustment—perfect for precise alignment in MIMO setups or optimal targeting of cellular towers. With its N-type female connector, the antenna is compatible with a wide range of professional-grade equipment.
The combination of high gain, wide frequency coverage, and rugged construction makes the Poynting A-LPDA-0500-V1-01 the ideal solution for high-performance, future-proof connectivity in demanding communication systems. Whether expanding 5G networks, stabilizing weak 4G signals, or covering large areas with IoT infrastructure, this antenna delivers efficiency, versatility, and professional-grade quality—making it one of the best choices for anyone relying on dependable wireless communication in any environment.
CellularThe antenna supports all major cellular frequency bands from 2G through 3G, 4G, and modern 5G. In the lower frequency range of 617 to 960 MHz, it covers 4G bands 20 and 28, GSM 900, and 5G band n71. These so-called “low bands” provide excellent range and indoor penetration, ideal for rural areas or building interiors. In the mid-frequency range from 1.7 to 2.7 GHz, it supports a wide array of 4G bands such as bands 1, 3, 7, 8, and 9, as well as UMTS 2100—the most commonly used frequency for mobile broadband worldwide. Additionally, the antenna covers the 3400 to 4200 MHz range used for 5G mid-band applications such as bands n77 and n78. These frequencies offer an excellent balance between range and high data throughput, perfect for urban or industrial settings. It also supports higher 5G bands up to 5000 MHz and beyond up to 7200 MHz, making it highly future-proof and suitable for both professional and private 5G installations.
WiFiAnother major advantage of this antenna is its full compatibility with WiFi technologies. It supports the standard 2.4 GHz WiFi band as well as the more powerful 5 GHz channels. Of particular note is its support for the 6 GHz band (WiFi 6E), which enables interference-free, high-speed wireless networking in modern infrastructures. This makes the antenna an excellent solution for directional or outdoor WiFi connections, whether for business buildings, warehouses, or large open areas requiring reliable and strong wireless coverage.
LoRa / IoTIn addition to cellular and WiFi applications, the antenna is perfectly suited for the Internet of Things (IoT). In the 868 MHz range (Europe) or 915 MHz (North America), it supports LoRaWAN and the rapidly growing Helium network, which provides decentralized, blockchain-based IoT connectivity. Technologies such as NB-IoT, LTE-M, Bluetooth, and ZigBee in the 2.4 GHz range also benefit from this antenna’s strong, directional signal transmission. The A-LPDA-0500-V1-01 is truly an all-around antenna for any application where stable, long-range, and high-performance wireless connections are required.
