LWO-SFPP-3327-20: The Second Half of Your Link
BiDi modules (Bidirectional) are like a lock-and-key system: They only work as a pair.
If you have installed module 2733 (TX 1270nm) on one side (e.g., in the server room), you absolutely need this module LWO-SFPP-3327-20 on the opposite side (e.g., in the distribution rack).
Why 1330 nm?
This module uses the wavelength 1330 nm for transmitting (TX) and filters out the wavelength 1270 nm when receiving (RX). By separating the light colors, it is possible to send 10 Gigabit in both directions simultaneously over a hair-thin fiber optic cable without the signals interfering ("collision"). This saves valuable fibers in your infrastructure.
Compatibility and Reliability
The transceiver complies with the MSA standard (Multi Source Agreement) and is compatible with common switches, routers, and media converters that support SFP+. For easy monitoring, DDM (Digital Diagnostic Monitoring) is integrated. This allows you to see in your switch's management interface how much light arrives at the end of the 20km route (RX Power) or whether the temperature is within the normal range.
