Ubiquiti UAP-AC-M-5: Scalable WiFi for Outdoors
If you need to supply a campsite, a marina, or a large open-air area with WiFi, the UAP-AC-M is usually the first choice.
With this 5-Pack, you save packaging waste and money. The five devices integrate seamlessly into an existing UniFi system and can be networked via Mesh (Wireless Uplink) if you cannot run a data cable to every pole.
No Power Adapters = Less Waste
In professional environments, Access Points are almost always powered centrally by a switch. Therefore, Ubiquiti omits the five 24V power adapters in this bulk pack, which would otherwise end up as e-waste.
Please ensure you own a suitable switch (e.g., USW-Lite-8-PoE or USW-24-PoE).
Use Antenna Options
Even in the 5-pack, the biggest advantage remains: The RP-SMA connectors.
You can upgrade individual APs from the set with the Ubiquiti UMA-D Sector Antenna if needed, to specifically illuminate certain areas (e.g., a long path or spectator area), while the other APs cover the general area with standard antennas.
