The Perfect Compromise (Fast & Easy)
Until now, you had to decide: Either buy an OBD tracker that plugs in within seconds (but is immediately found by a thief in the cabin), or pay an expensive workshop to wire a tracker deep into the dashboard. The Teltonika FMC880 is the solution. It is glued directly onto the car battery under the hood and screwed to the positive and negative terminals using its two U-cable lugs. It is invisible to thieves, but can be installed by any layperson in 5 minutes!
No Ignition Wire Needed
You might be wondering: "How does the tracker know when I'm driving if it's not connected to the ignition?" Teltonika uses intelligent software here. Through the built-in accelerometer and voltage monitoring of the car battery, the FMC880 fully automatically detects when the engine is started or the vehicle is moving. Important note: Since this device is designed for maximum simplicity (only 2 wires), it does not have a digital output. Therefore, connecting a relay for an immobilizer is not possible with this model.
Dual-Band GPS & IP65 Protection
Technically, the FMC880 plays in the absolute premier league. It uses a standalone L1 & L5 dual-band GNSS receiver. This means it receives GPS signals on two different frequencies, which massively improves accuracy (especially in cities with tall buildings). Since it can get hot, humid, and dirty under the hood, the compact casing is IP65 certified. Even an engine wash or extremely harsh weather conditions cannot harm the electronics.
