QuWireless QuMax AX50M: When the Tower is Far Away
In rural areas or industrial zones, the nearest 5G or LTE cell tower is often miles away. Conventional omni-directional antennas often only catch a weak signal here.
The QuMax AX50M is the solution for exactly this scenario. It features integrated directional antennas. This means: You roughly align the housing towards the nearest tower during installation. The antenna "listens" and "speaks" specifically in this direction. The result is a significantly more stable connection and higher data throughputs than with omni antennas.
The "Router-in-the-Head" Principle
Just like the Omni version (AX50MO), the Teltonika RUTX50 (not included) is installed directly into the antenna housing.
This is even more critical with directional wireless: Since you are often fighting for every decibel of signal strength, a long antenna cable would be fatal. By installing it directly at the antenna, you have zero signal loss.
Intelligent Split: 5G Directional, Wi-Fi Omni
This system thinks ahead: 1. Cellular (5G/4G): Works as a directional antenna to fetch the internet from the tower over long distances. 2. WLAN (Wi-Fi): Works as an omni-directional antenna. Why? So you can distribute the received internet directly as a Wi-Fi hotspot around the house or in the garden.
Power Supply Made Easy (PoE)
You don't need an electrician on the roof for installation. The RUTX50 is powered via Passive PoE.
You simply run a long outdoor network cable from the roof to the technical room. There, a PoE injector feeds in the power. This is safe, simple, and allows cable lengths of up to 40-50 meters without power loss.
