Your Specialist for Stable Point-to-Point Connections
The MikroTik Groove 52HPacn is not an ordinary WiFi Access Point. It is your first choice if you want to build a dedicated, high-performance radio bridge or connect as a client to a distant WiFi Network. Thanks to the RouterOS Level 3 license, it is precisely optimized for these scenarios: as an extremely reliable receiver (CPE) or as part of a Point-to-Point WiFi Bridge Set. Forget unstable connections – the Groove was developed for maximum stability and throughput.
Built for Extremes: Weatherproof from -40°C to +70°C
Whether bitter cold in winter or scorching heat in summer, the Groove 52HPacn continues to operate unimpressed. Its casing is specially designed for demanding outdoor use and withstands the elements. Power is supplied very simply via the included passive Power over Ethernet kit. You only need to run a single Ethernet Cable to the device, which significantly simplifies mounting on masts or house walls. The matching `PoE Injectors / Power Supplies` are, of course, part of the package.
Maximum Freedom: Choose Your Perfect Antenna
One of the biggest advantages of the Groove is its flexibility. It is deliberately supplied without an Antenna, because via its robust N-connector you can connect exactly the Antenna you need for your project. Do you need a connection over several kilometers? Combine it with powerful `5 GHz Directional Antennas`. Do you want to connect to a sector AP? Choose a suitable panel antenna. You have full control to achieve the best possible signal quality.
RouterOS: The Power of a Professional Network in Your Hand
Under the hood of the Groove works the legendary MikroTik RouterOS – an operating system that offers you configuration options far beyond the usual. Set up complex firewall rules, use Quality of Service (QoS), or integrate the device into a VPN. This flexibility makes the Groove a powerful tool for Network professionals. Note, however, that the Level 3 license excludes operation as an Access Point for multiple clients (e.g., laptops). For this purpose, MikroTik offers the sister model GrooveA, which is designed for this purpose as part of the `MikroTik Wireless Systems`.
Strengths & Notes at a Glance
- Pro: Full-featured RouterOS enables granular configurations such as firewall, QoS, and VPN.
- Pro: Extremely robust and weatherproof casing for use from -40°C to +70°C.
- Pro: Standardized N-connector offers free choice of external Antennas for every application.
- Pro: Gigabit Ethernet and 802.11ac (Wi-Fi 5) prevent performance bottlenecks.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Can I use the MikroTik Groove 52HPacn as a regular WiFi Access Point for my home?
No, this specific model (RBGrooveG-52HPacn) has a RouterOS Level-3 license, which restricts it to operating as a client (for receiving a WiFi signal) or for a single point-to-point connection. For use as a WiFi Access Point for multiple devices like laptops and smartphones, you need the GrooveA 52HPacn model with a Level-4 license, which allows it to function as a MikroTik Access Points & Router.
Which Antenna should I use for the Groove 52HPacn?
That depends on the application. For a long-distance point-to-point connection, a directional Antenna (e.g., a parabolic or panel Antenna) with high gain is ideal. To connect to a nearby but wide sector of a provider, a Sector Antenna might be suitable. The device is intentionally supplied without an Antenna to allow for this flexibility in choosing the right WiFi Antennas.
Is the Groove 52HPacn compatible with older 802.11b/g/n Networks?
Yes, the device is fully backward compatible. It can connect to both modern 802.11ac Networks in the 5 GHz Components band and older 802.11b/g/n Networks in the 2.4 GHz Components band.
How is the Groove 52HPacn powered?
Power is supplied exclusively via the included Gigabit PoE Injectors / Power Supplies (Power over Ethernet). A single Ethernet Cable provides both data and power to the device, significantly simplifying outdoor installation.
Does the Groove 52HPacn support the latest WPA3 encryption standard?
Yes, WPA3 support is implemented in newer versions of the MikroTik RouterOS operating system (from version 7 onwards). To use WPA3, a software upgrade of the MikroTik device must be performed.
What is the difference between the Groove 52HPacn and the GrooveA 52HPacn?
The main difference lies in the software license and the scope of delivery. The Groove 52HPacn has a Level-3 license (for CPE/PtP) and comes without an Antenna. The GrooveA 52HPacn has a Level-4 license (enabling AP mode) and is supplied with a suitable Dual-Band / WiFi 6E / WiFi 7 Antennas.
