Where plastic enclosures become porous under aggressive UV radiation, saltwater, or extreme frost, the MikroTik Metal 52 ac remains completely unimpressed. The housing is made of solid industrial aluminum. This not only makes the device absolutely waterproof but also provides perfect passive cooling. Even when the 720 MHz processor is processing Gigabit data streams under the glaring summer sun, the temperature always stays in the green zone.

Gigabit Speed & Extreme Range

Unlike normal access points, the Metal 52 ac unleashes an incredible transmission power of 1300 milliwatts (31 dBm). In combination with the modern 802.11ac Wi-Fi standard and the Gigabit Ethernet port, you can achieve throughput rates over massive distances that come very close to a physical cable. Via RouterOS, you can flexibly choose whether the device should be used as a 2.4 GHz hotspot for mobile phones or as a 5 GHz high-speed bridge.

Plug & Play with Direct Antenna

Every additional cable between the router and the antenna means attenuation and signal loss. The Metal 52 ac therefore features an N-Male connector at the top end. You simply screw the included dual-band omnidirectional antenna (6 dBi @ 2.4 GHz / 8 dBi @ 5 GHz) directly onto the device – and you're done! Alternatively, you can screw it directly onto a huge parabolic antenna for a kilometer-long wireless bridge. The power supply runs conveniently via Passive PoE through the single network cable that you have to pull up the mast.
