The Right Antenna for Pro Hardware
Not every router uses the small RP-SMA standard plug. Especially in professional environments (Cisco) or with older high-end routers (Linksys), the mechanically more stable RP-TNC connector is often used.
This antenna is made exactly for that. It replaces defective original antennas 1-to-1 and ensures that your hardware delivers full performance again.
RP-TNC vs. RP-SMA – What's the Difference?
Please check your connector before purchasing. The RP-TNC plug installed here is slightly thicker in diameter than the standard SMA and has a coarser thread.
If you own a router from the Cisco Aironet brand or a classic Linksys WRT54G, this antenna is very likely the right choice.
Ideal Room Coverage
Technically, this antenna relies on proven physics: As a 2dBi omni-directional radiator (dipole), it does not focus the signal into a narrow beam but distributes it evenly like a sphere in the room. This is ideal for eliminating Wi-Fi dead zones in offices or living rooms and also reliably supplying adjacent rooms.
