Why 4K is Important for a Dome Camera
Dome cameras often use a wide-angle lens to cover a large area. With low resolution, details in the distance quickly become blurry.
With 8 Megapixels, you have enough reserves. You can digitally zoom into the back of the store and still see sharply whether money is being changed or who is entering the room.
Security through AI & Vandal Protection
The G6 Dome is IK08 certified, meaning it withstands impacts. This is important in areas with public traffic.
Additionally, a new AI works inside. It not only distinguishes people from animals but can also recognize faces or read license plates (LPR). This makes it the perfect camera for garage driveways or staff entrances.
UniFi Protect: Your Data Belongs to You
Like all UniFi cameras, the G6 Dome is controlled via the UniFi Protect App.
The advantage: You don't need an expensive cloud subscription. The recordings land locally on your hard drive (in the Cloud Key, NVR, or Dream Machine). The system is lightning fast, secure, and you have access to the livestream and recordings from anywhere in the world.
