The UniFi Express (UX) changes everything. It is the most affordable and simplest way to experience professional networking.
What can the little cube do?
It is a true multi-talent for small environments (apartments, single offices, home offices): 1. Router & Firewall: It connects to the internet and protects you (incl. VPN support like WireGuard/Teleport). 2. WiFi 6 AP: It broadcasts WiFi 6 (2x2 MIMO) and covers your rooms. 3. Manager: The UniFi software runs directly on the device. You can adopt and manage up to 4 additional UniFi devices (e.g., a Switch Lite 8 PoE and additional APs).
Brilliant as a Mesh Point
Do you already have a Dream Machine (UDM-Pro / SE)? Don't throw the UX away!
You can switch it to "Access Point Mode". Then it acts as an elegant WiFi extender (Mesh) that you connect simply via cable or WiFi. Thanks to the display, you instantly see the connection quality.
