Ubiquiti UCG-Ultra: Small, Strong, Brilliant
Users have long waited for a successor to the USG that brings the controller along but has more power than the small "Express".
Here it is: The Cloud Gateway Ultra. It is the heart of your network if you already own or plan to use UniFi Access Points (like the U6+ or U7-Pro).
Controller Included (Network Only)
The UCG-Ultra is a true "Cloud Gateway". This means: The software to manage your network (UniFi Network) runs directly on this device. You save the cost of a Cloud Key Gen2.
Note: The UCG-Ultra manages only the network. For cameras (Protect), an NVR or Cloud Key is still required.
Performance Upgrade: 2.5G WAN & Multi-WAN
Compared to the UniFi Express, the UCG-Ultra offers decisive advantages for power users: 1. 2.5 GbE WAN: The internet input is ready for plans beyond 1 Gigabit. 2. Multi-WAN: One of the LAN ports can be configured as a second internet input. If your main line fails, LTE or DSL jumps in as a backup. 3. Stable Routing: The Quad-Core CPU handles a full 1 Gbps throughput, even if the firewall (IPS/IDS) is set to "high".
