Ubiquiti UAP-AC-M: The Shape-Shifter
Normally, Access Points are rigid: A white disc on the ceiling, done. The UAP-AC-M breaks this rule. It is small, elongated, and extremely adaptable.
Thanks to the included mounting aids, you can fasten it almost anywhere: On a pole in the garden, on a wall in the warehouse, or simply quickly with zip ties on a shelf.
The RP-SMA Advantage
The feature that makes it so popular with pros is the antenna connectors.
Out of the box, it uses two adjustable omnidirectional antennas ("bunny ears"). But do you need to illuminate a long driveway or a campsite? Then unscrew the antennas and connect an optional Sector Antenna (Ubiquiti UMA-D). This transforms the small omni-emitter into a powerful directional transmitter.
Mesh & Wireless Uplink
As the name "Mesh" implies, this device is specialized in connecting wirelessly with other UniFi APs. You only need power (PoE) at the installation site, but no data cable. It picks up the signal from another AP and rebroadcasts it locally.
