Built for the Storm: Ubiquiti UISP-Cable-PRO
If you are mounting expensive tech like a Ubiquiti airMAX antenna or a high-quality surveillance camera outside on a mast, you shouldn't skimp on the cable. The UISP-Cable-PRO (formerly TOUGHCable PRO) is more than just a network cable – it's a shield.
The Enemy is ESD
During thunderstorms or strong winds, network cables build up a static charge. This energy seeks a path – usually directly into the chip of your device. The UISP-Cable-PRO has a dedicated ESD drain wire (26 AWG). Together with shielded connectors (we recommend Ubiquiti UISP Connectors), this energy is safely diverted to the ground.
Solid Copper for PoE
Unlike cheap CCA cables, this cable uses Solid Bare Copper (24 AWG). This is critical for Power over Ethernet (PoE). Aluminum cables have higher resistance and generate heat – this copper cable delivers full power even over long distances (up to 100m) to the antenna.
