The original power supply for airGateway and legacy systems. The Ubiquiti POE-15-12W is a specialized PoE injector with 15 Volts output voltage. It was primarily designed to mechanically dock with Ubiquiti airGateway modules, enabling seamless WISP installations at customer sites. Additionally, it serves as a replacement power supply for older CPE devices (such as specific Bullet or NanoStation models) that specifically require 15V. Like all Ubiquiti PoE adapters, it features integrated grounding protection, effectively shielding your outdoor devices from electrostatic discharge (ESD). Note: This adapter supports 10/100 Mbps data throughput.

The airGateway is a small WiFi Access Point designed to plug directly onto this PoE injector.
The mechanical design of the POE-15-12W is tailored exactly for this. The result is a compact power and WiFi unit that simply plugs into the customer's wall outlet – with no cable clutter.

Protection Against Invisible Dangers

Electrostatic discharge (ESD) is the #1 cause of death for outdoor networking devices.
This adapter safely diverts such voltages via the grounding pin of the AC cable (provided you use shielded network cables). This protects your mast antenna from damage caused by dry thunderstorm air or wind friction.
