The TravelConnector WiFi System TCS-USB-5 is specifically designed for travelers and for use on boats, yachts, motorhomes, caravans, or campers. Many ports, marinas, hotels, and campsites offer either free or subscription-based WiFi service. To be able to use it from a great distance or below deck, the new TravelConnector WiFi System is perfectly suitable. With the TravelConnector System Set, you can easily surf the internet even with weak WiFi signals - up to 2700 meters (under optimal conditions) away from the nearest WiFi access point/hotspot!
The TravelConnector TCS-USB-5 WiFi Set consists of a compact 2.4 GHz 5dBi omnidirectional WiFi antenna with a weatherproof IP66 housing, a 5m USB cable, a matching high-performance WiFi USB adapter with Ralink RT3070 chipset, and a 2D articulating mount.
Wide Signal Opening Angle
The compact 5dBi omnidirectional WiFi antenna is optimized for the frequency range of 2.4 to 2.5 GHz. With a 360° signal opening angle, the antenna does not need to be separately aligned. The large vertical 33° signal opening angle of the WiFi antenna ensures a stable connection even for boats and yachts that may not always maintain their position or may fluctuate in the water.
Clever Design
By integrating an active WiFi USB adapter directly into the WiFi antenna, the need for a lossy antenna cable is eliminated. This allows the entire transmit and receive power of the WiFi USB adapter to flow directly into the WiFi antenna without losses, significantly extending the range of the WiFi signal.
High-Quality Construction
The WiFi antenna is made of stainless steel (V4A), fiberglass (GFK), and POM to withstand even the harshest environments such as seawater. It can withstand wind speeds of up to 170 km/h and withstand temperatures from -20°C to +50°C. With its IP66-certified plastic housing, the TravelConnector WiFi antenna is absolutely weatherproof and can be used outdoors even under extreme weather conditions.

The WiFi set does not require an external power supply and can be set up and dismantled in seconds with quick mounts such as suction cups or magnetic mounts. Plug & Play
The TravelConnector TCS-USB-5 Set can be directly connected to your PC or laptop via the USB cable after a simple plug & play installation - done. The flexible USB cable can be easily laid and can be extended up to a total of 40 meters without loss, if needed.
WiFi Travel Router - Your Own Hotspot (Optional)
Optionally, the TravelConnector TCS-USB-5 Set can be operated with a special WiFi travel router (Frontrunner VR400W). In combination with the WiFi travel router, multiple WiFi-enabled devices such as notebooks, smartphones, tablets, IP cameras, etc., can be operated simultaneously and wirelessly. This allows you to comfortably surf with multiple devices at the same time using the existing WiFi connection of the TravelConnector. All settings are made via a web browser and can be controlled with any operating system. No driver or tool installation is required. The power supply for the WiFi electronics in the antenna is provided by the Frontrunner router, which operates on 11-24V DC voltage.
