QuWireless QuMax A955M: Full Control for RUT955/956
Your Teltonika RUT955 or the newer RUT956 are true specialists with GPS and many interfaces. They are often used where conditions are tough: on construction sites, in temporary outdoor warehouses, or in control cabinets at the edge of the forest.
The QuMax A955M brings the router into the fresh air – right where reception is best.
Why GPS with a Directional Antenna?
That's the most important question. Since the LTE antennas are directional, this model is not suitable for moving cars. It is intended for objects that stand in one place but might move eventually ("Nomadic Use").
The GPS function is your security feature here:
* Theft Protection (Geofencing): Your construction container or mobile solar unit stands lonely in the field? If the device moves without permission, the router reports this immediately thanks to GPS.
* Time Synchronization: In industry, log files need exact timestamps. The GPS signal provides precise atomic clock time, independent of the internet.
LTE Performance for Remote Locations
Especially where construction containers or measuring stations are located, cell reception is often lousy. The integrated directional antennas bundle the signal from the distant tower. This guarantees you stable data transmission for cameras or remote maintenance, where normal "stub antennas" give up long ago.
One Cable for Everything (PoE)
Installation is simple: You screw the router into the IP67 housing, connect the internal cables (LTE, Wi-Fi, and GPS), and pull a single network cable inside. Thanks to Passive PoE, the router is powered through it. No cable clutter, no extra drilling.
