LWO-SFP-LX-10: When the Cable Leaves the Building
Multimode (SX) is great for the server rack, but as soon as you run a line to the neighboring building or across the campus, you need Singlemode.
The LWO-SFP-LX-10 is the workhorse for these routes. With a range of 10 kilometers, it covers almost all scenarios that go beyond pure in-house cabling.
Singlemode vs. Multimode
This module is optimized for Singlemode fibers (usually identified by the color yellow). The core of these fibers is tiny (9 µm), allowing the light signal to travel much more directly and further than with thick Multimode fibers.
It uses an LC Duplex connector. So you need a duplex patch cable (two connectors).

Lightwin manufactures according to the open MSA standard. For you, this means: You can plug this module into your Ubiquiti UniFi Switch, your MikroTik Router, or your Netgear Switch without hesitation. It is immediately recognized as a 1G module.
