AVM FRITZ!Box 6850 5G: The "All-in-One" Router
Other 5G routers just provide internet. The FRITZ!Box 6850 5G provides a complete home.
It is ideal for any location where DSL is too slow or missing, but you don't want to forgo the comfort of a classic landline router. Simply insert the SIM card, and you have internet, telephony, and Smart Home features in one device.
Telephony & Smart Home (The AVM Extra)
This is the unique selling point: The FRITZ!Box has a built-in DECT base station. You can register your existing cordless phones (FRITZ!Fon) directly and make calls in HD quality via the mobile SIM card (VoLTE).
Additionally, you can control your smart radiator valves or switch lamps on and off via the box – all via the energy-saving DECT-ULE standard.
Optimizing Reception Made Easy
The FRITZ!Box comes with two black stick antennas ("paddles"). The genius part: It has two SMA connectors on the back.
If you live in a well-insulated new building or in the countryside, you can unscrew these and connect a powerful outdoor antenna on the roof. The box's software helps you turn the antenna perfectly towards the cell tower with a brilliant real-time "alignment aid".
