Your Anchor for Stable Internet at Sea and on Land

Do you know the feeling? You're out on your boat or enjoying the freedom in your motorhome, but the internet is slow or constantly breaking off. This is often because the metal shell of your vehicle shields the mobile signal. The ALFA AOA-M4G is the professional solution. As a powerful 4G Omni-Directional Antenna for Motorhome and boat, it brings the signal from outside to inside. Simply mount it on the mast, connect it to your 4G router, and finally experience a stable and fast connection that reliably connects you to the digital world.

Built to Last: Marine Quality that Convinces

The term 'Marine Grade' is not an empty promise here. The AOA-M4G was specially developed for the harsh conditions at sea. Its housing made of solid, UV-resistant fiberglass (GRP) and stainless steel components are absolutely impervious to saltwater, spray, and constant sun exposure. This 4G Antenna for Boat and Camper is an investment in longevity and reliability that will accompany you on your travels for many years without losing performance.

360° Freedom: Reception Without Compromises

While directional Antennas must be precisely aligned with a transmission mast, the AOA-M4G as an omni-directional radiator offers you maximum flexibility. It receives signals from a 360° radius, making it the ideal choice for mobile applications. Whether your boat is rocking in the wind or you park your camper at a new pitch – the Antenna continuously ensures the best possible reception, without you having to lift a finger. Simply install and permanently benefit from a better signal.

System Integration Made Easy

The ALFA AOA-M4G is equipped with a professional N-Female connector, which ensures a secure and low-loss connection. It is the perfect complement for outdoor modems such as the ALFA Tube-U4Gv2, but can also be easily connected to a variety of other devices. For connection to common routers such as Teltonika 4G / 5G Routers models or a Fritz!Box, you only need a suitable Antenna Cables (e.g., N-connector to SMA-connector). This way, you seamlessly integrate this high-performance antenna into your existing Network and elevate your mobile internet access to a new level.

Strengths & Notes at a Glance

  • Pro: Extremely robust and weather-resistant thanks to marine-grade fiberglass construction.
  • Pro: Ideal for mobile applications (boat, motorhome) due to 360° all-round reception.
  • Pro: Covers all relevant European 2G/3G/4G frequencies for high compatibility.
  • Pro: Significant improvement in signal strength and stability compared to internal Antennas.
  • Pro: Professional N-connector for a secure and low-loss cable connection.
  • Note: For MIMO systems (e.g., Fritz!Box, Teltonika), two of these Antennas are required.
  • Note: The gain is moderate; in extreme fringe areas, directional antennas may be superior.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Is the ALFA AOA-M4G suitable for 5G?

Partially. The antenna covers the frequency ranges 698-960 MHz and 1710-2700 MHz. It therefore supports some 5G bands that are shared with 4G in so-called "Dynamic Spectrum Sharing" (DSS). However, it does not cover the newer, high 5G frequency bands (e.g., 3.5 GHz) that are necessary for maximum speeds.

Do I need one or two AOA-M4G antennas for my MIMO-Router?

For optimal MIMO performance, you need two identical AOA-M4G antennas. These must be mounted with a certain distance (ideally >50 cm) and often with different polarization to fully exploit the technology's potential.

How is the ALFA AOA-M4G antenna mounted?

Mounting is done using the included bracket on a vertical mast with a diameter of 30 to 50 mm. It is designed for outdoor mounting in places such as a boat mast, the roof rail of a motorhome, or an antenna mast on a building.

Which cable do I need to connect the AOA-M4G to a Fritz!Box?

You need a high-quality, low-loss coaxial cable with an N-connector for the antenna and an SMA connector for most 4G routers like the Fritz!Box. The length should be as short as possible to minimize signal loss.

Does this antenna really improve reception on a boat or motorhome?

Yes, significantly. By mounting the AOA-M4G antenna outdoors, the signal is received unimpeded and routed indoors to the router via cable, which typically results in a more stable connection and higher data rates, as the shielding by the vehicle or boat body is bypassed.

What does "Marine Grade" mean for this antenna?

"Marine Grade" means that the materials and construction are optimized for harsh marine conditions. This includes the use of corrosion-resistant fiberglass, a waterproof seal, and a robust design that withstands strong vibrations and wind loads.

Mobile LTE access on a sailboat
5 from 5

I've been successfully using an ALFA Network solution for several years to access public (harbor) Wi-Fi on our sailboat, but I've noticed that the available bandwidth of the public Wi-Fi has been steadily declining due to the increasing number of users. Since mobile phone contracts with large data allowances (50GB/month) have become increasingly affordable, I decided to switch to LTE. All I needed to do was replace my old Tube-UNA (for Wi-Fi) with the new Tube-U4G (for LTE) and, of course, the antenna. The setup was very easy thanks to the built-in wizard on the R36A and worked perfectly right away. The new solution works flawlessly, and I'm very happy with it. Here are the components I've installed:

- ALFA Network Tube-U4G v2 GLOBAL

- ALFA Network AOA-M4G (LTE/4G Multiband Omni Antenna, Weatherproof/Marine)

- ALFA Network R36A (already owned, predecessor of the R36AH)

Note: My LTE modem isn't exposed to the elements (although it could be!), but is installed inside the boat and connected to the antenna with a 5m low-loss cable. This makes it easier to swap the SIM card when changing sailing areas.

Mobiler LTE-Zugang auf einem Segelboot
5 from 5

- ALFA Network Tube-U4G v2 GLOBAL
- ALFA Network AOA-M4G (LTE/4G Multiband Omni Antenne, Wetterfest/Marine
