ALFA Network AOA-M4G | 6dBi 4G Omni Antenna, Outdoor / Marine Grade

Better 4G reception at sea and on land! The ALFA Network AOA-M4G is a high-quality 4G/LTE omni-directional antenna made of robust fiberglass. It was specially developed for maritime use and camping applications. With its N-connector, it screws perfectly directly onto the ALFA Tube-U4Gv2 modem or connects via cable to any 4G router. It covers all European 4G bands and ensures a stable connection with up to 6dBi gain, without you having to align the antenna.

Highlights

  • Marine Grade: Made of durable fiberglass (GRP). Withstands salt water, UV radiation, and strong winds.
  • Omni-Directional: Receives the LTE signal from 360 degrees. Perfect for ships and vehicles that change location or orientation.
  • Perfect Match: Specifically designed for direct mounting on the ALFA Tube-U4G / Tube-U4Gv2 (Outdoor USB Modem).
  • Wide Frequency Band: Supports LTE 800, 1800, 2100, and 2600 MHz as well as UMTS/3G.
  • Standard Connector: Equipped with an N-Jack (N-Female).

Stable Internet for Campers and Captains

Inside a steel ship or an aluminum-coated RV, 4G reception is often disastrous (Faraday cage). The solution: The antenna must go outside! The ALFA AOA-M4G is built for this. It is slim, unobtrusive, but extremely powerful.

No Alignment Needed
Unlike directional antennas that you have to painstakingly turn on the mast, the AOA-M4G is an omni-directional antenna. No matter how your boat swings at anchor or how you park your RV – the antenna catches the signal from every direction.

The Partner for the "Tube"
Many use the ALFA Tube-U4G (an 4G modem that is led inside via USB cable). This antenna has the matching N-connector to be screwed directly and waterproof onto the Tube. No intermediate cables, no losses. Of course, you can also connect it to a Teltonika RUT or a FritzBox with a separately sold cable.

Mobile LTE access on a sailboat
5 from 5

I've been successfully using an ALFA Network solution for several years to access public (harbor) Wi-Fi on our sailboat, but I've noticed that the available bandwidth of the public Wi-Fi has been steadily declining due to the increasing number of users. Since mobile phone contracts with large data allowances (50GB/month) have become increasingly affordable, I decided to switch to LTE. All I needed to do was replace my old Tube-UNA (for Wi-Fi) with the new Tube-U4G (for LTE) and, of course, the antenna. The setup was very easy thanks to the built-in wizard on the R36A and worked perfectly right away. The new solution works flawlessly, and I'm very happy with it. Here are the components I've installed:

- ALFA Network Tube-U4G v2 GLOBAL

- ALFA Network AOA-M4G (LTE/4G Multiband Omni Antenna, Weatherproof/Marine)

- ALFA Network R36A (already owned, predecessor of the R36AH)

Note: My LTE modem isn't exposed to the elements (although it could be!), but is installed inside the boat and connected to the antenna with a 5m low-loss cable. This makes it easier to swap the SIM card when changing sailing areas.

Mobiler LTE-Zugang auf einem Segelboot
5 from 5

- ALFA Network Tube-U4G v2 GLOBAL
- ALFA Network AOA-M4G (LTE/4G Multiband Omni Antenne, Wetterfest/Marine
