Ubiquiti G6 Turret: The Best of Both Worlds
Choosing the right camera form factor is often difficult. Domes are unobtrusive but often suffer from IR reflections at night. Bullets have a perfect image but are prone to spider webs and vandalism. The G6 Turret solves this dilemma.
Due to the ball-in-socket design, the lens is free of a glass dome, which eliminates reflections. At the same time, the design is compact and hard to twist or damage. It is the most robust solution for everyday use.
Upgrade to 4K Resolution
While the predecessor (G5 Turret) still relied on 2K, the G6 series brings the standard to full 4K Ultra-HD (8 megapixels).
* This means four times the number of pixels compared to Full HD.
* You can digitally zoom into the image afterwards to identify license plates or faces that are further away.
* The new image sensor is also more light-sensitive, which massively improves image quality at dusk.
Intelligence Instead of Just Recording
The G6 Turret is not just a passive observer. It thinks along. The integrated AI engine analyzes the image in real-time.
* Person Detection: Only receive a push notification if a human is really standing at the door.
* Vehicle Detection: Monitor your driveway or the company parking lot efficiently.
* Animal Detection: Always know if the dog is in the garden or the neighbor's cat is stopping by.
This saves storage space and time, as you can filter specifically for events.
Installation and Durability
The camera is built to last. The housing is made of durable material and is protected against strong water jets and dust according to IP66.
Mounting is incredibly simple: The base is screwed to the wall or ceiling, the camera module is inserted and fixed with a ring. Alignment is flexible in all directions. Power is supplied as usual via PoE (Power over Ethernet).
