Ubiquiti U7-Pro: The Dawn of a New Era
WiFi 6 was fast, but WiFi 7 changes the game completely.
The U7-Pro is Ubiquiti's answer to the extreme data hunger of modern applications. It utilizes the full spectrum (2.4, 5, and 6 GHz) to minimize latency and deliver data rates previously only known from fiber optic cables.
Performance Without Compromise: 9.3 Gbps
The numbers speak for themselves. The U7-Pro is designed to supply hundreds of devices simultaneously with high-speed internet. When you sum up all frequency bands, you reach a theoretical air capacity of **9.3 Gbps**:
* 6 GHz Band: Up to 5,765 Mbps – the free lane for the latest laptops and smartphones (WiFi 7/6E) using massive 320 MHz channel width.
* 5 GHz Band: Up to 2,882 Mbps – the turbo for your WiFi 6 and 5 devices.
* 2.4 GHz Band: Up to 688 Mbps – solid basic coverage for IoT and older hardware.
Important: The Right Switch
This Access Point has so much power under the hood that a standard Gigabit port would slow it down.
The U7-Pro features a 2.5 GbE Uplink Port. To unleash its full potential, you should ideally connect it to a switch that also offers 2.5G ports and PoE+ (802.3at) (e.g., the UniFi Enterprise Switch or Pro Max). It works on 1G ports too, but then you're driving a sports car in second gear.
