Ubiquiti UACC-CM-RJ45-MG: One for All
It used to be complicated: An SFP+ module could often only do "all or nothing" – i.e., 10G or 1G. If you then plugged in a modern Access Point or PC with a 2.5G port, the connection often dropped back to slow 1G.
The UACC-CM-RJ45-MG solves this problem intelligently. It masters all intermediate steps:
* 2.5 GbE & 5 GbE: Perfect for the latest Access Points, NAS systems, and gaming motherboards.
* 10 GbE: For high-speed uplinks and servers.
* 1 GbE: For standard devices.
Range Champion (up to 100m)
A huge advantage over the older "10G-only" module is the range. Thanks to more efficient chip technology, you can bridge cable distances of up to 100 meters with this module (Cat6A required), even at 10 Gigabit. The older model often only managed 30 meters.
This means you can now connect distant offices or outdoor Access Points at maximum speed without having to lay fiber optics.
Heat Generation
Like all high-performance copper transceivers, the MG module gets warm during operation. This is physically determined and completely normal. Make sure your switch gets enough air if you operate many of these modules side by side.
